A single- storey cottage replacing a timber heritage Edwardian cottage of similar massing destroyed by termite infestation. The floor level of the new building is raised off the ground to monitor and prevent future termite attack.

Off-street parking is provided in a garage front assimilated into the domestic front elevation addressing streetscape and heritage guidelines. An attic storey within the cottage envelope contains a master bedroom suite.

The selection of galvanised steel and cedar timber weathering cladding materials and crisp detailing reminiscent of shaker buildings delineate the building form.
